As a news organization, we do things a little differently…
Because we want to present stories from all around the world, and not just the ‘big headline stories’ found on most news outlets, we rely on a vast world-wide network comprised of freelance writers and independent contributors. We rely on them all for for accurate and current news content.
Our site serves as a portal for aggregation and delivery of that content to our readers. While the mainstream media covers most of the major news stories, we encourage our contributors to cover local or less well known topics and news stories.
If you are a writer, or have a passion for a particular topic and would like to report on it, you may be a good fit as a contributor for CitizenNewsWire.

Experienced Writer?
If you already write online, please include links to some samples of your work. Also, please tell us a little about yourself and the topics you would like to cover.
No Experience? – No Problem
If you have NO EXPERIENCE but believe that you could do the job and have a passion for writing about certain subjects or events, please DO apply. As a sample of your writing skills, simply choose any current news event and write a brief 4-5 paragraph (approx. 300 words or so) article about it. Our staff will review your writing style and get back in touch with you. We provide numerous training resources to help you improve your craft.
Compensation
Our network of contributors are paid from advertising revenue, as an independent contractor, directly from advertisers. More details on how the payment works will be provided in the training modules which we provide to contributors.
