After months of stay-at-home directives and social distancing, something as simple as getting a hair cut has become just one of the items taken for granted in the pre-COVID-19 world. It should come as good news then that the Hair Cuttery announced the re-opening of 500 salons with safety measures in place to combat the spread of the Corona Virus.

The re-opening comes on the heels of a change in leadership for the popular hair salon chain – now owned by Tacit Salon Holdings.

“We are excited to begin a new chapter. Our salon professionals are trained, equipped, and reinforced to handle COVID-19 challenges to ensure a healthy, successful future of salon visits for our customers,” stated Seth Gittlitz, Chief Executive Officer of Tacit Salon Holdings, LLC. “By reopening safely, we will be well-positioned to help our community move into future phases while staying happy and healthy.”

To ensure everyone’s safety, Hair Cuttery salons will follow a detailed plan. This includes adhering to official CDC guidelines, Barbicide COVID-19 Certification for all stylists, and masks for both salon professionals and customers. Salon professionals are required to have a wellness check before starting a shift, and all tools and stations are sanitized with Barbicide.

Each salon will only operate at 50% capacity for now to aid with social distancing, and perhaps the biggest change for customers used to walk-in service, they’ll now need to make an appointment ahead of time at all locations.

In addition to this corporate guidance, each salon will also enforce any operational musts called for through state and local mandates.
