There’s a lot of speculation online as to when the new Sony PlayStation 5 will be released. According to sources Sony creators are set to launch the latest version of their gaming console later this year in time for the holiday season. This is the same time that their competitor Microsoft will be launching their Xbox series X.

Reports on twitter suggest that the “PlayStation5 DualSense controller is scheduled to be released on November 20, 2020 at a cost of 60 dollars.” In line with this leak, many believe that the PS5 will be out on stores before December to facilitate multiplayer games.

At a showcasing event on June 11, 2020, the creators revealed the PS5 system appearance revealing that the new console design will come in two exotic styles: the asymmetrical PlayStation 5 and the symmetrical PlayStation 5 digital edition.

Reportedly, the PS5 features an 825 GB SSD enabling faster load times than previous versions of the popular game console. Graphics processing will be handled by a 10.3 teraflop AMD RDNA 2 GPU providing vivid lifelike images for games in 4K resolution and speeds of 60 frames per second. It has also been revealed that the system will be able to support up to 8k resolution with a frame rate of nearly 120 fps.

Specs also indicate that the PS5 will have 16 GB GDDR6 RAM with an NV Me SSD expandable storage slot.

Final pricing information has not yet been released, although most in the field expect the PS5 to sell for about $500 when it hits store shelves in the coming months.
